Directions

Reading is located in Eastern Massachusetts, 12 miles north of Boston, at the crossroads of route 95 and route 93. Bordered by North Reading on the north, Lynnfield and Wakefield on the east, Stoneham on the south, Woburn and Wilmington on the west. It is part of Middlesex County.

The Town Hall (see map below) is located at 16 Lowell St, at the intersection of routes 28 (Main St.)and 129 (Lowell St.). Regular business hours are Monday-Friday 8:30am-5:00pm.

The Reading Police Station (directions) is located at 15 Union Street across the common from the Town Hall. For emergencies call 911 otherwise the main phone line is 781-944-1212.

The Main Fire Station is located at 757 Main Street just north of the common. For emergencies call 911 otherwise call 781-944-3132. The Westside Fire Station is located at 260 Woburn Street.

The Reading Public Library (hours and directions) is located at 64 Middlesex Avenue. The main phone number is 781-944-0840.

The Town Garage is located at 75 Newcrossing Road. The phone number is 781-942-9092.

The Reading Senior Center (directions) is located at 49 Pleasant Street. The phone number is 781-942-9067.
