Pursuant to Article five, section 5.9 of the most current Reading Traffic Rules and Regulations:
It shall be unlawful for the driver of any vehicle, other than one acting in an emergency, to park said vehicle on any street between the hours of 1:00am and 6:00am.
This parking ban will remain in effect from November 1 to April 1 - Annually.
The Reading Police Department will begin canvasing all Reading public ways on November 1, 2009 looking for parking violators and all violations will be strictly enforced until April 1, 2110.
Furthermore,
Effective Sunday, November 1, 2009 all “A” shift personnel will begin enforcing the ban on overnight parking Town-wide with actual "money fine" parking citations. This also includes the following Town lots:
(A) Parker Street Harnden Yard - 1AM to 6AM
Only motor vehicles with a Reading Access Sticker will be allowed to park overnight (1AM-6AM) in the Parker Street and Harnden Yard lots, except during a snow emergency when no motor vehicles will be allowed to remain so the lots can be cleared of snow.
(B) Upper Lot Lower Lot Town Hall
1AM to 6AM 1AM to 6AM 1AM to 6AM
The Town has installed signs as they did at the Parker Street and Harnden Yard lots. The only difference is that there is no overnight parking in these 3 lots.
