Dual Maps: Google Maps and Virtual Earth (now bing Maps) in an embeddable control.
Using Dual Maps
- Drag and drop the street view marker (the blue car) or click on a blue outlined street to display the street view for that location.
- The Bing map center changes when the Google map center changes (but not vice versa).
- The Google Local Search bar can be used to find addresses, businesses, landmarks, towns or cities. (Enter the full address including town and state abbreviation.)
- When a search result is clicked on, street view imagery is displayed where available.
- To enlarge the Google map panes or bing map pane (and hide the other), click one of the small gray arrows between the map panes.
- To reset the map location at Town Hall, use the link marked 'Start'.
- To open a new Google Map window for full functionality, use the link marked 'GM'.
- To open a new bing Map window, use the link marked 'VE'.
- To open up a new window with a full-screen dual map, use the link marked 'Full'.
Note: When searching, the street view displayed may not always match the search result. This depends upon the geocoding accuracy of each Google search result which is not always 100% (though generally accuracy is good).
