A.J. Schneider Woods
A.J. Schneider Woods is a 3 acre site located off of Haverhill Street, near the North Cedar Swamp. There is one entrance on Haverhill street near Rustic Lane. The land was acuired in  1969 and is one of the smaller conservation lands in  Reading.

The area may be small, but it is suitable for a short hike. It takes  approximatley 30 minutes to hike the trails. The most interesting  part of this land is the swamp land which is filled with  different forms of plant life. The condition of the trails are very good  but watch out for numerous trees which have fallen down across many of the trails.

schn2.jpgThere are many types  of organisms found here, including many different species  of trees, ferns, berries, and flowers. This is also a  great place for bird watching.
