The proposal for a new Irish restaurant at 530 Main Street was approved by the Community Planning & Development Commission on the April 12th, 2010. The restaurant will feature an outdoor garden patio on the north side of the building. The new restaurant is under construction and expecting to open in the early fall.
Oaktree Development has submitted a Site Plan Review Application to the Community Planning and Development Commission (CPDC) for development of the former Atlantic Market site at 30 Haven Street. The public hearing opened on May 10th and was continued to September 13th, 2010 at 8:15 PM. The meeting will be held in the Board of Selectmen's Room at Town Hall. This proposal is being developed under the recently adopted Downtown Smart Growth Zoning District.  Perfecto's Cafe at 285 Main Street (formerly the tuxedo rental shop) was approved by the (CPDC) Community Planning and Development Commission in October 2009 and by the Conservation Commission in June 2010. The applicant is currently working on construction plans in order to apply for building permits. The new 3,051 square foot building will feature a variety of baked goods.  Sam's Bistro at 107 Main Street (formerly Wayside Bazaar) is NOW OPEN. Sam's Bistro is a full-service family restaurant.
 The Olde Redding Butcher Shoppe opened at 169 Haven Street in October 2009.
